Sailing Resume

Overview : Terry has in excess of 60,000 nautical miles under sail sailing with over 1000 days on various vessels throughout his maritime career.  Terry’s been the master of a variety of sailing craft and has led successful one design and mixed PHRF races. He currently holds a U.S.C.G. Merchant Marine Certificate for a Ship’s Master of 50 Tons, with Endorsements for Auxiliary Sail, and Commercial Assistance Towing.

Sailing History:

  • Present-2011 Ship’s Master/Owner S/V CarolMarie  a 1980 Hans Christian 38 MKII with over 630 days at sea, 504 days offshore including: trans-pac crossing, 8 days off-shore Washington St. to San Diego non-stop, Oregon offshore to Vancouver Island, Canada, Columbia River, San Diego

  • 2020 Delivery Crew S/V Hawkeye Ericson 29 Chula Vista CA to Oceanside CA

  • 2017-2014 Master M/V Rioloco a 4 GRT local touring boat - Hayden and Sauvie Islands on Columbia River

  • 2011 Delivery Crew S/V Ranidan 2010 Halberg -Rassey 40, with 10 days offshore

  • 2011-2009 Skipper/Owner S/V NiSe a 1983 Catalina 30 with 159 days at sea.

  • 2007-2004 Skipper/Owner S/V Merlita a 1979 Nor’Sea 27 with 132 days at sea, 34 days offshore.

  • 2004-2001 Skipper/Owner S/V River Bee a 1980 Capri 25 with 183 days at sea, 18 days offshore.

  • 2001-1998 Crew Capri 16, raced in Vancouver Lake.
