Executive Bio

Dr. Terrance O’Shea is a hands-on technology leader best known for building innovative, highly productive, cohesive teams. Recently the VP of Engineering for Squire Solutions, he developed the company’s natural language processing capability, implemented the provisioning and license key generator, overall system architecture, and deployment scheme all in Rust. Prior COVID-19, he co-founded and was Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of BeeTimer™; an IoT solution for restaurants. In this role he was responsible for research and development activities associated with IoT and AI technologies as well as overseeing technical and product roadmaps.

Prior to co-founding BeeTimer, he served as CTO of The Safariland Group growing their IoT technology business for law enforcement. He joined Safariland from HP Inc. where he served as HP Fellow and VP. While at HP he oversaw all technology functions including product architecture and development of its wearables including numerous smartwatches. Before HP, O’Shea spent 18 years at Intel Corporation where he invented and launched five revenue and profit-producing wireless sensor based platforms as spinouts.

O’Shea co-authored two textbooks, including Applications of Wireless Sensor Networks for Healthcare, and authored more than 120 papers on topics in electronic packaging, biomedical engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, sensor networks, sensing, and structural mechanics. His work has been published in numerous IEEE symposia and in periodicals. O’Shea is an inventor on 77 patents with another 69 patent applications pending. O’Shea holds a doctorate in engineering mechanics from the University of Arizona, Master of Science and Bachelor of Science degrees in engineering science and mechanics from the University of Tennessee. O’Shea served in the 7th Special Forces Group Airborne at Fort Bragg, NC.
